Goodman, Solomon “Sol” passed away surrounded by his loving family, November 10, 2021. His 89 years were filled with strength, love, wisecracks and proud service to his country. After his honorable discharge from the Air Force as a senior airman serving in the Korean War from 1950 to 1953, he worked for Lockheed as an aircraft mechanic at JFK Airport. He continued his life service as a Nassau County Police Officer. Retiring in the rank of Detective. Not wanting to “sit around” Sol became a dedicated volunteer at the Cradle of Aviation Museum enjoying his love of aircraft, especially the famous “Connie.” His zest for life will be deeply missed by his cherished wife, Claudette, his sons Lee and Lawrence, and step children Anthony VanJones, Claudette McIntyre and Claudine Campuzano. Honored grandfather of 12 grandchildren and one great-grandson. No visitation will take place as per Sol’s request. Interment of cremains with military honors will be Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at 1 pm at Saint Charles Cemetery, East Farmingdale New York.
