Caivano, Samuel, 96, of Bethpage passed away on July 11, 2020. Proud US Navy WWII Veteran. Beloved husband of 69 years to Marie (nee Abbatepaolo). Cherished great grandfather of Abigail and Sarah Finn. Samuel believed "In this life we cannot do great things. We can only do small things with great love." Mother Teresa
And so he did - all things- be they large or small, with great love. An ordinary man who loved life and lived it in service to others. First to his country and forever after, his family. A humble man despite his many gifts, who yet left a lasting impression on everyone he met and always generous with his time, his stories and his I love yous. His presence will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him and his legacy will live on forever. The family will be celebrating Samuel's 97th birthday, at Long Island National Cemetery, Monday, July 20th, 11:30 am where a service with military honors will be conducted in his memory. Arrangements entrusted to Arthur F. White Funeral Home, Inc. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Samuel's memory to the American Legion, Robert H.
