Carni, Rose, 92, of Bethpage passed away March 26, 2022. Reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband of 61 years, Patsy. Loving mother of Joann Favorito (the late Joseph) and Joseph (Teri). Cherished grandmother of Linda Kenngott (Nicholas), Steven Favorito (Jackie), Michael Carni and Lisa Carni. Adored great grandmother of Tyler Kenngott and one baby boy on the way. Predeceased by her siblings Ann Longo and Joseph Marturano. She is also survived by many friends who she was known as “Randy”. Rose’s life revolved around her grandchildren, she kept every little thing they made or bought for her. She was a proud longtime parishioner of St. Martin of Tours RC Church, involved in the Christian Mothers and the Young at Heart. Rose had a deep devotion to Padre Pio and St. Anthony collecting statues and medallions. Rose and Patsy were one of the original “Sunny Laners”, living there for almost 25 years. They were very active in the Sunny Lane, setting up parties at the community center to bring everyone together. Rose loved participating in Sunny Lanes Christmas pageants, just as much as her family loved to go and see her perform. Rose was an avid reader, so much so that the Bethpage Library would call her and set aside the large print books, knowing she would be there soon to pick them up. She enjoyed playing cards, roses, and angels. In her younger years, Patsy and Rose traveled around the world across the United States, Europe and Japan. The family will receive visitors Thursday, March 31st, 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Arthur F. White Funeral Home, Inc., 234 Broadway, Bethpage. Funeral Service Friday, April 1st, 10 am at the funeral home. Entombment following at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
