Pagano, Ronald J., 69, passed away June 9, 2022. Ron was known as a man with a twinkle in his eye, a sense of humor, fierce loyalty and commitment to his family and friends, and a smile and laugh that was contagious to those around him. Ron fell in love with Disney on his honeymoon with his wife, Mary, and he will always be remembered for his passion and love for Disney and his joy in sharing this love with others. Ron was a loyal and dedicated friend with friendships spanning throughout his lifetime, beginning with childhood friends from the neighborhood, The Newman Club, work friends, Bethpage friends and brothers-in-law who became close friends.
Throughout Ron’s life, he was a man of many interests and pursuits. As a child, Ron played stickball and later baseball. His love of baseball continued into college, where he coached. This continued on to coaching his sons in little league throughout their childhoods. Ron possessed a love and appreciation for a variety of music. He built model trains, and he was always very proud of his annual Christmas village that he assembled with love and care. In early years with his wife, Ron and Mary played tennis and paddle ball together. They always enjoyed walking together by the water. In 1989, Ron moved with his family of 6 from Brooklyn, NY, to his dream home in Bethpage, NY.
Ron will be lovingly remembered by Mary, his wife of nearly 45 years, their children, Christopher and his wife Kate, Timothy, Brian and his wife Teresa, and Matthew and his wife Vanessa. He was a proud father of his four boys, who are now men each standing strong in character and shining different characteristics of the father who raised them. He will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren, Gabriella, Julian, and Liam, whom he adored and cherished his time with. Ron loved being an uncle to all of his nieces and nephews. Ron had a special bond with all of his brothers- and sisters-in-law. He will be missed by all family members and lifelong friends.
The family will receive visitors Tuesday, June 14th, 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Arthur F. White Funeral Home, Inc., 234 Broadway, Bethpage. Funeral Mass Wednesday, June 15th, 10 am at St. Martin of Tours RC Church. Entombment following at St. Charles Cemetery.
