Richard Anthony Sarnowski

Sarnowski, Richard Anthony, 59, of Lindenhurst, passed away November 2, 2023. Beloved brother of Frank Christopher Sarnowski, and Patricia Ann Naughton (Ciaran). Dear uncle of Darren Adam Naughton and Justin Gerard Naughton. Rick grew up in Bethpage, NY and graduated in 1982 from Island Trees High School in Levittown, NY. After high school, Rick spent some time at Clarkson University in Potsdam NY, where he made a number of lifelong friends. Rick worked for New York State Parks Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation at Jones Beach State Park for well over 25 years. As a heavy machine operator on the Beach Crew, he was part of the team maintaining the beaches and facilities for the people of Long Island to enjoy. Rick loved the outdoors, spending time camping, hiking, and enjoying campfires with friends. Rick had a keen sense of humor and sharp wit that he used to keep his friends and family on their toes. On the surface, Rick appeared to be a grouch, but scratch the surface and you would find that he had a heart of gold. A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, November 11th, 12-3 pm at Arthur F. White Funeral Home, Inc., 315 Conklin Street, Farmingdale.
