Rafael Hernandez

Hernandez, Rafael, 70, of Farmingdale, passed away on October 5, 2023. Reunited in Heaven with his beloved wife of 38 years, Joanne and his treasured dog, Lucy. Loving father of Jessica Rago (Vito), Johanna Pellegrino (Anthony), and Nicholas. Adored grandpa of Leanna Joanne. Dear brother of Louis Hernandez and Margie Delarosa. Cherished uncle and great-uncle of many. Rafael enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved to garden, growing sunflowers, tomatoes, grapes, and all kinds of vegetables, just so Leanna could enjoy them. When Leanna was born, a light was lit in Rafael. Leanna was the light of his life, and his family meant the world to him. Typically, you would find him in the living room, in his chair, watching TV. Every night Rafael and his family would all watch his favorite shows, Wheel of Fortune, and Jeopardy.  The family will receive visitors Sunday, October 8th, 3-7 pm at Arthur F. White Funeral Home, Inc., 315 Conklin Street, Farmingdale. Funeral Mass Monday, October 9th, 9:45 am at St. Kilian RC Church. Cremation Private.
