Giammarinaro, Nick, 89, of Denver, North Carolina, formerly of Farmingdale, New York on September 24, 2020. Nick was born and raised in Farmingdale and lived there majority of his life. Nick was a automechanic, owned an auto upholstery shop and worked for Grumman for many years. He enjoyed to playing golf, deer hunting in Maine, and practicing at the target range. In 1997 he married Madeline Garland and moved to Plainview. They enjoyed traveling together especially to the Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Italy. In 2018 Madeline and Nick moved to Denver, NC. Nick was born on February 7, 1931 to Angelina Schifano and Baldassare (Barney) Giammarinaro. He was born the 4th out of 6th children and was the last surviving family member from his generation. He was predeceased by his siblings John (Dot), Mamie Vousoulas (Anatasios), Anthony (Kathleen), Joseph (Mary) and Anne. Beloved husband of Madeline. Dear Uncle of Carol, Don, Gayle, Irene, Anthony, David, James, Annemarie, Vickie and Angie. Loving great uncle of David, Donna, Anna, Oliver, John, Laura, Kristen, James, Domenic, Justin, Jeremy, Lori, Melissa, and Timothy. Adored great great uncle of Cody, Lisa, Rachel, Jonny, Heather, Grace, Makayla, Trevor, Brittany, Alexandria, Maxine, Andrew, Brayden, and Keira. Also survived by Madeline’s cherished children Philip (Laura), Janet (Michael), and John (Jill), Madeline's grandchildren Jack, Samantha, Paige, Michael, Vincent and Joseph. Although Nick didn’t have any children of his own, he was a father figure, friend, and mentor for his nieces, nephews, and neighborhood children. He was blessed to have 10 nieces and nephews and 14 grandnieces and nephews and 14 great-grandnieces and nephews. The family will receive visitors Friday, October 2, 2020, 9-10:30 am at Arthur F. White Funeral Home, Inc., 315 Conklin Street, Farmingdale. Funeral Mass Friday, October 2nd, 11 am at St. Kilian RC Church. Interment with military honors following at Trinity Cemetery, Amityville.
