Mildred R. Kestler

Kestler, Mildred R., 87, passed away unexpectedly September 7, 2022. Reunited in heaven with her beloved husband of 39 years, Nicholas. Loving mother of Mildred, Sister Diane Marie, and Maryann Boehringer (Eugene). Cherished grandmother of Eric and Eugene. She is also survived by nieces and nephews. In her younger days Mildred enjoyed different art mediums such as crochet, which led to her making her own dress. Mildred also loved cooking meals for her family and experimenting with the same ingredients so that no meal was ever quite like the other, yet they were all delicious. She also loved to tend to her garden, and keep up with current events and politics. Mildred was an active and proud member of the St. Martin of Tours choir, the Young at Heart, often prayed with the Charismatic Prayer Group, and was very proud of her work with St. Vincent de Paul. The family will receive visitors Sunday, September 11th, 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Arthur F. White Funeral Home, Inc., 234 Broadway, Bethpage. Funeral Mass Monday, September 12th, 10am at St. Martin of Tours RC Church. Interment following at St. Charles Cemetery.
