Marilyn N. Lang

Lang, Marilyn N., 91, longtime Bethpage resident passed away August 16, 2023.  Reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband of 67 years, Donald. Loving mother of Janis Giles and Susan Hickey (Thomas). Treasured grandmother of Daniel (Amanda), Andrew, Jennifer Scarpella (Anthony), Thomas (Tara) and Christine (Anthony Squillante). Cherished great-grandmother of Johanna, Abigail, Ethan and Anna. Predeceased by her dear sister Doris Lashley. Retired secretary for Grumman Aerospace. Longtime member of the Dorcas Aid Society at St. Paul’s Church. Marilyn was extremely proud of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Marilyn was strong willed, meticulous, particular and kept her house and property immaculate. She found joy in a clean home and looking out into her yard and seeing the perfectly manicured lawn and flowers. In her younger years, Marilyn enjoyed traveling with her husband, sewing, cooking and baking. Donald and Marilyn would have a daily 4 pm cocktail, in the summer a Tom Collins and the winter a Manhattan. Marilyn and her family made many memories on their annual trip to the Thousand Islands. As time went on, she enjoyed the simpler things in life, word Jumbles, Fox News, Dove Chocolate, and Entenmann’s Raspberry Danish Cake. Marilyn will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. The family will receive visitors Sunday, August 20th, 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Arthur F. White Funeral Home, Inc., 234 Broadway, Bethpage. Funeral Service Monday, August 21st, 10 am at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bethpage. Interment following at Pinelawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Marilyn’s memory to St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, 449 Stewart Avenue, Bethpage, NY 11714.
