Lebda, Marian D., longtime resident of Bethpage passed away February 6, 2024, just a few weeks shy of her 95th birthday. Reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband of almost 70 years, William. Loving mother of Christine Bergin (Jim) and Donna Gaudet (Doug). Treasured Grandma and Meme of Adam, Ryan and Jake and “bonus Meme” of Jayci. Forever thankful to Zoby for her friendship, love, and dedication. Grateful for years of friendship and birthday celebrations with the “Breakfast Club”. Marian’s family was her world, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Her grandsons were the light of her life. She was an important figure in their upbringing, and continued to be a consistent part of their lives as they grew up. She never missed anything when it came to her family. Marian enjoyed getting to know people and was loved by everyone she met. She thrived on information and needed to always “be in the know”. When she had her mind set on something, that was it. There was no changing her mind and there was absolutely no way of stopping her. She was like the energizer bunny, never missing a beat. Marian was always on the go; whether she was cleaning her already pristine home or shopping, this woman was bionic, never ever tired and “never let them see her sweat”. She was the epitome of a perfectionist. Whether she was expecting guests or not, her home was meticulously kept. Everything had a place, beds always made, clothes hung up and pressed, nothing was ever out of place. Marian loved to decorate for every holiday and knew how to throw a party. She was an excellent cook, and her husband used to tell people that “every night was Sunday dinner” because her dinners were just that good. Marian was also a professional cake decorator and was known for her infamous cream puffs. She kept her quick wit about her for over 94 years and her memory will live on forever. The family will receive visitors Monday, February 12th, 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Arthur F. White Funeral Home, Inc., 234 Broadway, Bethpage. Funeral Mass Tuesday, February 13th, 10 am at St. Martin of Tours RC Church. Interment following at St. Charles Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Marian’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital; stjude.org.
