Capone, Louis, 87, former longtime Farmingdale resident, recently of North Merrick, passed away on November 12, 2023. Beloved husband of 68 years to Jean. Loving father of Louis Jr. (Angela), Deborah Jones (Steven) and Jacqueline Fetter (Paul). Cherished grandpa of Steven, Gina, Stevie, Lisa, Justin, Daniel, and Julia. Adored great-grandfather of Gianna, Skylar and Stevie. Dear brother of Al (Joan), Joanne, Susan (Tom), Eleanor, Raymond (Maryann), George (Barbara) and Anthony. Louis grew up during the Great Depression and learned at a young age the importance of hard work. Because of this, Louis made sure he was the ultimate provider for his family, ensuring their lifelong security. Louis’ family was so important to him, and he loved being a big part of their lives. He loved having the entire family together whether it was for a birthday, holiday or just for Sunday dinner. One of the highlighted memories they all treasure is going to Disney as a family for Jean’s 60th Birthday. He was a huge sports fan, a 20-year season ticket holder for the NY Jets, 30-year season ticket holder for the Islanders and an avid Yankee fan. He loved going to his local restaurants where he was welcomed and known as a regular. Louis’ devotion to his family was an inspiration to many and his place will be forever missed. The family will receive visitors Wednesday, November 15th, 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Arthur F. White Funeral Home, Inc., 315 Conklin Street, Farmingdale. Funeral Mass Thursday, November 16th, 9:30 am at Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church. Interment following at St. Charles Cemetery.
