Karl Ruda

Ruda, Karl, 87, of Bethpage, New York and Ocala, Florida passed away May 7, 2022. Beloved husband of 51 years to the late Dolores. Loving father of Kenneth (Lori) and Glenn (Carol). Cherished grandfather of Christine (Estuardo), Vincent (Nina), Nicholas, Brianna (David), Alexa, Jessica and Collin. Adored great grandfather of Catherine, Estuardo, Mikaila, and Aidan. Karl worked as a Purchasing Agent within the beverage industry soon after college until his retirement.  His hobbies included model railroading and building and painting model cars and trucks. Karl was a unique man, consistently keeping his lawn immaculate, religiously wiping his car after every rainstorm, and was always sure to line-up the top and bottom of his bagel so that they matched. He took great joy in sharing his snacks (and the crumbs on his sweater and lap) with his family’s dogs, Max and Sadie. To know him was to love him, which his family and friends most certainly did, very much so. The family will receive visitors Wednesday, May 11th, 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Arthur F. White Funeral Home, Inc., 234 Broadway, Bethpage. Funeral Mass Thursday, May 12th, 10 am at Our Lady of Mercy RC Church, Hicksville. Cremation Private.
