Muhlbach, Joseph, 86, of Farmingdale, formerly a resident of Bethpage for over 55 years, passed away August 6, 2023. Beloved husband of 63 years to Elinor. Loving and devoted father of Michael (Linda), Peter, Mary Jane Bianco (David), Stephen and Jennifer Kelly (Kevin). Adored grandfather of Stefanie, Torre, DJ, Meaghan, Michael, Jenna, Ian, Emma, Griffith, Avery and Charlotte. Dear brother of the late Frank and the late Anne Schultz. Joseph was a proud and dedicated machinist for Dyna Empire for over 59 years. Joseph and Elinor met at a dance on December 23, 1960, they shared a love for dance, which continued throughout their 63 years together. Joseph enjoyed going on cruises, grilling in the backyard, watching sports, listening to music, playing lotto (lucky number 4597) and dancing. He was an exceptional gardener, growing beautiful flowers and sharing them with his neighbors and friends on the block. In his younger years, Joseph was a semi-professional soccer player for Eintracht in Ridgewood. He was a huge Islanders and Jets fan, watching many games with his family. Joseph loved to go to German restaurants and eat all kinds of German cuisine. Joseph's happy, easy going, loving nature will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Cremation arrangements were private. The family will schedule a Memorial Service at a later date.
