Amodio, Josephof Bethpage passed away on December 25, 2020 after a long, memorable life at the age of 95. Proud Veteran of WWII Battle of the Bulge. Retired police officer of Nassau County Police Department. Retired security guard for South Oak's Hospital. Beloved husband of 66 years to the late Margaret. Loving father of Peggy Robinson (Ed)Doreen Shanley (Pat),  Melissa Wiech (Dean) and the late Cindy Ann. Adored grandfather of Edward ( Michelle)JosephCindy (Larry), Meghan (Shawn)LisaShannon (Nicholas)Patrick ( Pamela)KellyKyle and James. Cherished great grandfather of EdwardCarson, HarrisonSadie and Owen. Dear brother of Anthony, MaryJane and Michael. Devoted and knowledgeable Yankees Fan. After WWII, Joseph helped lay the electrical lines to give Suffolk County light. The family will receive visitors Sunday, January 3rd, 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Arthur F. White Funeral Home, Inc., 234 Broadway, Bethpage. Funeral Mass Monday, January 4th, 10 am at St. Martin of Tours RC Church. Interment following at Long Island National Cemetery.
