John Pappas

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of John Pappas on October 24, 2021. John was a warm, loving man with a huge personality and an even bigger heart. He will forever be remembered for his incredible kindness, generosity, and fierce love for his family and friends.

John was the beloved husband of Carol Theresa Pappas (nee Carvo).  Devoted father of Joanne Fleitz (John), Christine Schneider (Peter), and John Pappas (Lauren). Loving grandfather of Stephanie Fleitz, Joseph Fleitz, Matthew Schneider, Amanda Schneider, Ashley Pappas and Alex Pappas. He is also survived by his nieces Kristen Carvo Speed (Brian), Jessica Carvo Goetz (Daniel), his brother-in-law and sister-in-law Michael and Janice Carvo, his sister Gail Pappas, and his brother Gary Pappas.

Out of respect for John’s very specific wishes, our family will be mourning privately for now, but we will communicate any future plans for a memorial service after the holidays. In the meantime, we invite you to visit the below memorial website which was created in his memory to give everyone the opportunity to help us celebrate and remember the incredible husband, father, grandfather, uncle, friend, mentor, athlete, and man that he was.
