John Celli

Celli, John, 96, of Brooklyn, New York passed away on July 3, 2020. John earned the name "Poppy" by his first granddaughter and he has been Poppy ever since.  Beloved husband of 68 years to Josephine. Loving father of Susan Greiner (Richard M. Greiner) and Janet Alfano (Frank Alfano). Cherished Poppy of Kristin Kelly (Robert Kelly), Lauren Brennan (Daniel Brennan), Robert Alfano (Tamara Alfano) and Steven Alfano. Adored great grandfather of Richard Hughes, Luke Brennan, Harper Brennan and Aiden Alfano. Poppy was a true example of a family man. He enjoyed every moment spent with his family and they were the light of his life. The family will receive visitors Thursday July 9th, 9-11am at Arthur F. White Funeral Home, Inc., 315 Conklin Street, Farmingdale. Funeral Service Thursday, July 9th, 11am at the funeral home. Entombment following at St. Charles Cemetery.
