Sanfilippo, Giacomo. “Jack”, 92, of Bethpage passed away peacefully on April 18, 2020. His wife of 72 years and the love of his life since he was 14, Margaret was at his side. A Navy veteran and Grumman Aerospace retiree, Jack was proud to have worked on the Lunar Module that landed on the moon. He was devoted to his family and loved spending time with them on their boat near Teddy Roosevelt Beach. He would organize huge family reunions at Bethpage State Park and Cousins’ Club events. After retiring, he split time between the beautiful family cottage on the Finger Lakes and his “little piece of paradise” in Naples, Florida. Jack was always the life of the party with his quick humor, endless jokes and riveting stories. Moreover, he could always be found fiddling with a car or something in his garage, as he was a true “Jack of all Trades.” He made anyone he met feel special and always told them “you’re good, you’re good.” Preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Rose, and brother Frank, his is survived by siblings Thomas, Salvatore and Marie (Tomaselli); his children Joseph, Michael and RoseEllen; his son- and daughters-in-law James Rugino, Linda and Nan; his grandchildren Aimee and Dominic Cuniglio, Christa and Felipe Perlaza, Michael and Edna Sanfilippo, Amanda and Justin Long, Ariana and Keith Doheny, and Jake and Marissa Rugino. He is also in the hearts of his great-grandchildren: Dominic and Annarose Cuniglio; Joey, Emma and Luke Perlaza; Mickey, Jack and Dori Sanfilippo; and Lillie Theresa Doheny. Cremation was private. Arrangements entrusted to Arthur F. White Funeral Home, Inc.
