George Sokolowski

Sokolowski, George, 54, lifelong Daler passed away unexpectedly, August 12, 2023. Loving husband of 26 years to Jeanine. Proud and dedicated father of George and Corey. Beloved son of the late George and Jo Ann. Dear brother of Kimberley Ward (Jeffrey) and the late Daniel. Cherished son-in-law of Patricia Giordano and the late Carmine Giordano. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Devoted business owner and operator of GJL Services, Inc. George’s presence was undeniable, he had a big outgoing personality which made him loved and befriended by so many. Loyal, loving, and real are just a few words to describe this one of a kind man. A whole room would light up as soon as he entered. He was a great person with a big heart who would do anything for anyone. If someone called and needed him, it didn’t matter what he was doing, he would drop everything to be there. George had a way of making people comfortable to be themselves and never passed any judgement. The way he would tell a story either had you totally captivated, or had you crying with laughter. He took pride in his cooking, making all different recipes. His family and friends always looked forward to whatever he made. George’s son’s were his pride and joy. There are no words that could convey how proud he was of them. They were not just his sons, but his best friends. The three of them always had a blast together, whether they were riding dirt bikes and quads, working together or just hanging around the house doing nothing. George’s heart and infectious personality will be missed terribly by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He truly left a mark on everyone he met, and will never be forgotten. The family will receive visitors Wednesday, August 16th, 7-9 pm and Thursday, August 17th, 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Arthur F. White Funeral Home, Inc., 315 Conklin Street, Farmingdale. Funeral Service Thursday, August 17th, 8:30 pm at the funeral home. Cremation Private.
