Florence Fucci

Fucci, Florence, 95, of Hicksville, passed away April 14, 2024. Loving mother of Carmela Fucci, Rosita Phillips (Vincent), and Mary O’Rourke (Patrick). Devoted dog-mom of Pixie. Cherished grandmother of Katie, Logan, Michael (Sara), Luke, Laura Simonson (Eric), and William. Dear sister of Helen Geneva. Retired crossing guard for the New York City Police Department. Florence loved being a crossing guard, she looked forward to seeing the kids daily and helping people. Florence was funny, sassy, and loving. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, baking, shopping, and crocheting. Being with her family was so important to Florence, she enjoyed teaching the grandchildren how to bake Italian cookies and shopping with her daughters at the flea market but any time spent with them meant the world to her. Florence adored animals, especially her little princess, Pixie. Her most requested meal was always “macaroni’s” and St. Joseph’s pastries. Florence will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. The family will receive visitors Friday, April 26th, 6-9 pm at the Arthur F. White Funeral Home, Inc., 234 Broadway, Bethpage. Funeral Mass Saturday, April 27th, 11:15 am at St. Ignatius Loyola RC Church, Hicksville. Cremation Private. An inurnment will be held Tuesday, April 30th, 11 am at St. Charles Cemetery.
