Elaine Giersbach

Giersbach, Elaine, 77, lifelong Bethpage resident passed away peacefully on September 21, 2021. Beloved wife of 46 years to the late Carl. Loving mother of Thomas, Lisa Davino (Pat), Gary (Shani) and Brian. Cherished Nanny of Pat, Alex (Josh Mendez), Janae, Zachary, and Zoe. Proud great grandmother of Leanna. Dear sister to Janet Jozwiak (Donald). Treasured aunt Danny, David and Beth Kristiansen. Adored Cat Mommy to Allie Cat who was her partner in crime, never left her side and was with her until her last moments. Elaine had an unexplainable, special bond with her grand-dog, Hunter. Whenever they were together, he always made sure to look after her and give her all the unspoken love and attention she needed. Reunited in Heaven with her adored cats Patches, Noel, Georgie and Stumpy. Elaine enjoyed the beach, nature, cats, gardening, ceramics, knitting, watching Dr. Phil and singing. She was funny, outgoing and brought joy where ever she went. Elaine was a supportive mother and grandmother never missing out on an opportunity to spend time with her family. Her favorite treat was any sweets but more specifically ice cream, she did not have a specific favorite but she made sure to try all the different flavors. She had an "allergic reaction" to shrimp one time and from then on forward she would make sure no matter where they went to dinner to mention that she cannot have shrimp anywhere near her meal. Amongst the family they would joke with her about making/ ordering her shrimp. The family will receive visitors Sunday, September 26th, 2-4:30pm and 6:30-9 pm at Arthur F. White Funeral Home, Inc., 234 Broadway, Bethpage. Family memories will be shared Sunday, 8:30 pm at the funeral home. Cremation will be private.
