Bollinger, Edward Louis, 87, longtime resident of Bethpage, formerly of Ridgewood, Queens, passed away unexpectedly at home November 3, 2023. Beloved husband of 61 years to Rita. Cherished Dad of Linda Lunger (Edward) and Edward Bollinger. Loving Pop-Pop of Joseph Lunger, Nicole Lunger, and Garrett Bollinger. Cherished brother of Clarence Bollinger (Arlene), Doug Bollinger (Betty), the late Norma Speranza, and the late Lillian Paolillo. Beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews. Dear friend of Joe and Joyce LaPadula, Don and Pat Crocker, the late Robert and Joanne Wissert, and many more friends and neighbors. Proud 1st Class Airman in the United States Air Force, whose decorations included the National Defense Service Medal, and Good Conduct. Retired New York City Transit Authority car inspector. Avid lover of sports, horse racing and casinos. Ed was a family man, and his family was always his number one priority. He was a good man, an amazing husband, father and grandfather, and will be truly missed. The family will receive visitors Tuesday, November 7th, 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Arthur F. White Funeral Home, Inc., 234 Broadway, Bethpage. Funeral service Tuesday, November 7th, 7:30 pm, at the funeral home. Family and friends gathering at the funeral home Wednesday, November 8th, 10:30 am at the funeral home. Interment with military honors following at Calverton National Cemetery.
