Edna M. Nunemaker

Nunemaker, Edna M., 93, of Bethpage passed away March 15, 2023. Beloved wife of the late William. Loving mother of Barbara Bove (Frank), James (Norma), Carolyn (William Osmundsen), Deborah McIntosh (Robert), Maryann McSweeney (Gerard) and Karen Keller (James). Adored grandmother of Michael, Peter, Justin (Eric), Amanda, Sean and Ryan. Cherished great-grandmother of Ethan, Breah, Keegan, Owen, Peter and Ryan. Edna was soft spoken, loving and caring. She loved to laugh, listen to 40’s music and dance. Edna had a very active social life; she went dancing every Friday night well into her 70’s. She was a longtime member of the Widow and Widowers Club, and a former active member of the United Cerebral Palsy Foundation. Edna was always happiest when surrounded by her family. She enjoyed cooking, hosting big parties, holidays and birthdays. Her family always looked forward to her lavish meals, especially her Thanksgiving feast and her infamous turkey. The family will receive visitors Thursday, March 16th, 1-5 pm at Arthur F. White Funeral Home, Inc., 234 Broadway, Bethpage. Funeral Mass Friday, March 17th, 11am at St. Martin of Tours RC Church. Interment following at The Cemetery of the Holy Rood, Westbury. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Edna's memory to Good Shepherd Hospice at Mercy Hospital; goodshepherdhospice.chsli.org.
