Donald A. Cembrale, Sr. Obituary

Cembrale, Donald A. Sr., 76, longtime Bethpage resident passed away March 10, 2024. Beloved husband of 44 years to the late Ann. Loving father of Don, Dean and Michelle Campeggio (Anthony). Adored grandfather of Donnie, Kelly, Amanda, Erin, Cheyann and Anthony. Cherished great-grandfather of Gianna. Dear brother of Joseph and the late Richard. Proud United States Army Veteran, serving in the Vietnam War. Although, Donald was strong-willed and opinionated, he was loving, supportive and always took care of his family. He was a huge Mets, Jets and Knicks fan, almost never missing a game. John Wayne was his hero and he loved to watch old western movies. Donald was a passionate cook, Sunday sauce was always the family favorite. He looked forward to hosting holidays with the family and having everyone together. In his younger years, he enjoyed taking Ann to Atlantic City and taking the family to Point Pleasant Beach, where they shared many laughs and many memories were made. The family will receive visitors Thursday, March 14th, 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Arthur F. White Funeral Home, Inc., 234 Broadway, Bethpage. Funeral Mass Friday, March 15th, 10 am at St. Martin of Tours RC Church. Cremation Private. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Donald's memory to the Disabled American Veterans; DAV.org
