Daniel F. Young

Young, Daniel F., longtime resident Bethpage, peacefully passed away on September 26, 2021, at the age of 99. Proud WWII Army Veteran, stormed the beaches of Normandy at Omaha Beach. Reunited in Heaven with his beloved wife of 59 years, Agnes. Loving father of Patricia M. Erwin (Richard), Robert J. Young (Rachel), Theresa A. Krautman (Drew), Carol A. Kessler (the late Edward) and Robert E. Flynn (Marie). Cherished Grandpa "Goony" to Brittany Palazzo. Grandfather of RJ (Dana), Natalie (Louie), Lilah, Ricky, Jonathan, Danny and Lisa (Ivan). Great grandfather of Alex, Addison, Chase, Justin, Victoria, Madison, Danny Jr., and lovingly known as “Grandpa Dan” to Luciano Daniel, Matthew, Taylor and Mia. Treasured brother of Marion, predeceased by siblings, Gladys, Caroline and Leona. Also survived by his dearest Terry, many nieces, nephews and friends. The family will receive visitors Friday, October 1st, 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Arthur F. White Funeral Home, Inc., 234 Broadway, Bethpage. Funeral Mass Saturday, October 2nd, 10 am at St. Martin of Tours RC Church. Interment with military honors following at The Cemetery of the Holy Rood, Westbury.
