Anne C. Veilson

Veilson, Anne C., 89, born in the Bronx, Farmingdale resident for over 68 years passed away August 7, 2023. Reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband, George. Dearest mother of Rosanne Veilson (Dennis Corbett), George Veilson, Theresa Fitzgerald (Kevin), Dorothy DeFelippis (the late Ralph) and Frank Veilson. Loving Nana of George (Tara Graci), Ralph (Amanda Giuliano), Ryan, Megan Baty (Corey), Brett (Kelly Lang), Gregory (Michelle) and Tina Nicole Alonzo (Rich). Cherished great-grandmother of Julia, Olivia, Emma, Dominik, Charlotte, Jack, Lincoln, Ralph, Lucas, Anthony James and Peirce. Dear sister of Martin Dunn and predeceased by siblings Francis, Edward, Robert, Richard and Rosemary. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Beloved “Cat-Mom” of Sweetie. Longtime parishioner of St. Kilian RC Church for over 60 years. Proud member of St. Kilian Mother’s Club, St. Kilian Women’s Guild, Farmingdale Columbiettes and Red Hats. Anne was known for her quick Irish wit, malapropisms, and her ability to come up with tunes on the fly. She loved to sing and dance. Anne enjoyed gardening, bowling, reading, crosswords and crocheting. Later in life, she developed a passion for travel. Although reluctant at first, she was happy, traveled all over, to different states and countries by plane, train, car and on cruise ships. Anne had a devotion to all animals, throughout her life she had many pets including cats, dogs, rabbits, fish, a chicken, a rooster and a duck. She always looked forward to dessert, her all time favorite being ice cream and chocolate. We hope Anne is in Heaven, dancing and singing with all who predeceased her. The family will receive visitors Tuesday, August 15th, 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Arthur F. White Funeral Home, Inc., 315 Conklin Street, Farmingdale. Funeral Mass Wednesday, August 16th, 11 am at St. Kilian RC Church. Interment following at St. Charles Cemetery.
